Gray Marble Walk-In Shower with Lit Niche
Walk-in shower in soft gray marble-look porcelain with an LED-lit niche, hex mosaic floor, brushed nickel rain head, and a plant-lined clerestory window.
About This Project
This Upstate SC walk-in shower replaced a tight corner stall with a generous walk-in built into the full back wall of the bathroom. The walls are large-format gray marble-look porcelain panels with light veining — calm rather than dramatic. We added an LED-lit recessed niche along the side wall, a hex porcelain mosaic shower floor for grip and drainage, and a square brushed nickel rain head with a separate hand shower and matching thermostatic valve. A long clerestory window above the rain head pulls daylight in across the top of the shower, and the homeowner added trailing plants for a spa feel. Everything is Schluter-waterproofed and built for hard daily use. The overall feel is bright, calm, and easy to clean — a shower that gets nicer every time someone walks into it.
