Tub to Shower Conversion
A quick tub-to-shower conversion near Lake Keowee in Seneca — barrier-free entry, grab bars, and moisture-resistant porcelain tile for a lakeside home.
January 2025 5 days
About This Project
This lakeside homeowner near Lake Keowee needed a safer, more accessible bathroom. The existing cast-iron tub was removed and replaced with a barrier-free walk-in shower featuring a zero-threshold entry, two strategically placed grab bars, and a fold-down teak bench. Given the high-humidity lakeside environment, we used extra moisture-resistant materials and applied Schluter waterproofing membrane on all walls and the shower floor. The porcelain tile features a textured surface for slip resistance, and all fixtures are rated for wet environments.
