About This Project
This Greenville homeowner had a worn walk-in shower taking up the corner of an otherwise updated bathroom. They wanted a soaking tub back in the space — partly for resale, partly so the grandkids had somewhere to take a bath when they visit — without giving up the fast, low-maintenance feel of a one-day-style wall system. We demoed the existing shower system, broke up and re-poured the concrete slab to handle the new tub drain, and repaired framing where needed. The new tub is a Jacuzzi Cetra 36x60 right-hand drop-in soaker. The walls are a Sentrel 60x36x80 three-piece kit in a subway-tile pattern with grey artificial grout lines and black trim — a true alternative to tile that's fully waterproof out of the box, never needs re-grouting, and wipes clean with mild soap. The fixtures are a Moen Lindor brushed nickel valve, trim, and handheld combo, and the enclosure is a Dreamline Sapphire brushed nickel framed sliding door. An integrated shower shelf gives storage without a tiled niche. Total invoice landed at $10,432.83 after a 3% early-pay discount — a useful real-world reference point for anyone weighing a tile build against a premium one-day-style system.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why convert a shower to a tub?
A tub/shower combination is more practical for families with young kids or grandchildren, often improves resale value, and gives homeowners back the option of a soaking bath. It's a common request in Greenville-area homes where every bathroom is a walk-in shower.
Is the wall surround real tile?
No — it's a Sentrel 60x36x80 three-piece wall system in a subway-tile pattern with grey artificial grout lines and black trim. It looks like tile but is fully waterproof out of the box, never needs re-grouting, and wipes clean with mild soap.
What did this Greenville shower-to-tub conversion cost?
Total invoice landed at $10,432.83 after a 3% early-pay discount. That covered demo, concrete work for the new tub drain, the Jacuzzi Cetra tub, the Sentrel wall system, Moen Lindor brushed nickel fixtures, and the Dreamline Sapphire glass door — installed in two days.
