Rustic Natural Stone Shower
A natural stone shower installation in a Travelers Rest mountain home — travertine walls, pebble floor, and wood-look porcelain accents.
About This Project
This Travelers Rest homeowner wanted a shower that complemented their mountain home aesthetic. We installed travertine tile on the shower walls in a stacked ashlar pattern, creating a warm, organic feel. The shower floor features natural pebble tile for texture and drainage, and the surrounding bathroom floor uses wood-look porcelain planks. A custom arched niche was carved into the shower wall for a distinctive architectural detail. The project required extra attention to waterproofing due to the porous nature of natural stone — we applied Schluter membrane plus a secondary stone sealer for maximum moisture protection.
